A children's book Two people in every million are diagnosed with aplastic anaemia in the UK every year. Only a small number of these people are children, and an even smaller number are very young children, making these children super rare. This book explores common experiences for a child diagnosed with this rare blood disorder, and discusses them in a positive and reassuring way. It introduces some of the many different emotions a child might experience, in a funny and thoughtful way. This sensitively written storyline will spark a conversation between the child and the reader, letting them know that they are not alone. They are part of the Super-Rare Club with lots of other brave children - just like them. Watch Evie reading Super Rare Max!
